Chuck Swanson is an artist living and working in the Louisville area for over thirty years. He currently operates Swanson Contemporary Gallery in Nulu. His gallery was one of only five functioning businesses east of Hancock Street on Market when it opened in 1998.
Swanson is known for his paintings and sculptures. He is represented in dozens of corporate and private collections including Ventas Headquarters Chicago and Louisville, Atria, Brown Forman, Waterfront Park Place, The Presbyterian Seminary, The Fund for the Arts, LGE, Old National Bank, Stites and Harbison, UPS, Bellarmine University and many more. He has exhibited numerous times throughout the region and in the northeast United States. He has been a board member of the Nulu Business Association since 2004.
The ten paintings depicted on this web site represent three interconnected facets of his work -- assembled, shaped and color directed paintings, local/regional water and landscapes, and works that combine elements of both. Several of the pieces are large and all are scalable.
